Our service charges are competitive and affordable. The cost of products, services, vaccinations and medications are aimed to be at par with the current OVMA fee guidelines. Payment for your pet's in-home veterinary visit is due at the time of services rendered. Contact us today to let us know what services you are interested in and we can give you an estimate for the veterinarian to come and visit your pet.

Do you perform all services provided by a regular veterinary clinic?

Due to the nature of mobile service we are unable to perform certain diagnostic tests and medical procedures at home. Currently Vet on Wheels (VOW) Mobile Veterinary Services is a one man team, we may ask for your assistance in holding your pet during the procedure. If you are not comfortable holding your pet and your pet is not friendly, we expect you to let us know in advance. Vet on Wheels (VOW) Mobile Veterinary Services do offer limited lab tests (e.g. ear cytology, skin cytology, lipoma check, blood glucose check, basic urine test etc.). If your pet requires detailed diagnostics (such as blood work, radiographs, surgery, hospitalization, emergency care etc.)  we will let you know and make recommendations.  Please refer to our services page for a list of services that we offer.

Is there a cancellation policy?

There will be a $50 cancellation fee should you need to cancel your appointment within 5 hours of the scheduled time.

What is the procedure for at-home euthanasia?

For euthanasia appointment, Vet on Wheels (VOW) Mobile Veterinary Services veterinarian will come to your home and do a thorough physical exam of the pet. We start with a sedative injection so that your pet is very comfortable and peaceful. Then place an intravenous catheter for the final injection. The procedure takes about 45-60 minutes in total but this can vary, depending on the needs of you and your pet. Pricing varies on location (address), size of pet, and aftercare selection. Please provide these details when requesting a quote for euthanasia.

What happens to my pet’s body after a euthanasia appointment?

We can arrange for after care services. Cremation is provided by Gateway Pet Memorial www.gatewaypetmemorial.com. Following the home euthanasia, we will carefully prepare your pet to be transported to our base clinic/office where Gateway Pet Memorial will pick your pet up directly from us. If you choose an ash return cremation, we will be in touch with you to make the arrangements. You can pick up your pet's ashes from our base clinic in Alta Vista plaza or arrange for the ashes to be delivered home to you for a delivery fee.
